Clotrimazole is an antifungal that works to prevent the growth of fungi.


Medicinal Uses of Dermatin Antifungal Cream
Clotrimazole is used to treat skin infections such as athlete's foot, jock itch, ringworm, and other fungal skin infections (candidiasis). This medication is also used to treat a skin condition known as pityriasis versicolor (tinea versicolor), a fungal infection that causes lightening or darkening of the skin of the neck, chest, arms, or legs.


How to Use Dermatin Antifungal Cream
Always take this medication exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you.
Consult your doctor or pharmacist if you are not sure.
Doses may be changed in certain circumstances, so always follow your doctor's or pharmacist's instructions.
If you take more medicine than you should, talk to a doctor or go to the hospital immediately.
If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember unless it is almost time for your next dose.
Do not take a double dose (two doses at the same time) to make up for a forgotten dose.

Side effects of Dermatin Antifungal Cream
Although the following side effects are not common to everyone, some patients may experience:
Itching.
Problems swallowing or breathing.
Swelling of your lips, face, throat, or tongue.
Weakness, dizziness, or fainting.
Nausea.

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, think you may be pregnant, or are planning to have a baby, ask your doctor or pharmacist for advice before taking this medicine.
Your doctor will discuss the potential risks and benefits of using this medication during pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Warnings and Precautions While Using Dermatine Antifungal Cream
Before using clotrimazole, tell your doctor or pharmacist if you are allergic to clotrimazole; or to other azole antifungals such as econazole, ketoconazole, or miconazole; or if you have any other allergies. This product may contain inactive ingredients, which can cause allergic reactions or other problems. Talk to your pharmacist for more details.
Before using this medication, tell your doctor or pharmacist your medical history.

How to Store Dermatine Antifungal Cream
Store below 25°C.
Do not refrigerate.
Keep this medication out of the sight and reach of children.
Store in the original container to protect from moisture.
Do not use this medication after the expiration date printed on the carton/blister/label. The expiration date refers to the last day of the month.
