Waxsol Ear Drops, Earwax Removal Drops - 10 ml

How Docusate Sodium (Waxsol) Ear Drops Work

Docusate sodium works to clear the ear by softening the accumulated wax that causes blockage. It is usually best to use these drops while showering to make it easier to rinse the ears after use.

Medical Uses of Waxsol Ear Drops

Waxsol is used to help remove earwax in adults and the elderly. It can also be used in children, but only after consulting a doctor. Earwax is a natural buildup of dead cells, hair, and foreign material such as dust and natural wax, which forms a protective layer on the skin of the ear canal. The amount of earwax varies from person to person.

How to Use Waxsol

Use this medicine exactly as your doctor or pharmacist has told you.

If you are not sure, consult your doctor or pharmacist.

Fill the dropper from the bottle.

Tilt your head to one side.

Gently instill the drops into the blocked ear until it is full. Place a cotton wool plug in the ear to prevent the medicine from leaking out.

It is best to do this before bedtime.
Doses may be adjusted in special circumstances, so always follow your doctor's or pharmacist's instructions.
If you take more than the recommended amount, talk to a doctor or go to the hospital immediately.
If you forget to take a dose, take it as soon as you remember unless it is almost time for your next dose.
Do not take a double dose to make up for a missed dose.
