                                    Fluticasone Propionate/Salmeterol Xenafuate 250/50 Powder for Inhalation

Why is Fluticasone Propionate/Salmeterol Xenafuate used?
The Fluticasone Propionate/Salmeterol Xenafuate combination is used to treat the symptoms of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease (COPD) and asthma.
Do not use during acute episodes of shortness of breath.
Do not take Fluticasone Propionate/Salmeterol Xenafuate if:
You are allergic to the active ingredients or any of the other ingredients of this medicine.
You are allergic to milk.

Warnings and precautions:
Tell your doctor about all your medical conditions, including if you have:
Heart problems.
High blood pressure.
A history of seizures.
Thyroid problems.
Diabetes or high blood sugar.
Liver problems. If you have weak bones (osteoporosis).

If you have a problem with your immune system.

If you have eye problems such as glaucoma or increased pressure in your eye.

If you have any type of viral, bacterial, fungal, or parasitic infection.

If you are pregnant, planning to become pregnant, or breastfeeding.
Possible side effects:
Stop using this product and seek immediate medical attention if you develop a skin rash; itching; red, blistered, or peeling skin; tightness in the chest or throat; trouble breathing, swallowing, or speaking; unusual hoarseness; or swelling of the mouth, face, lips, tongue, or throat. The frequency with which these side effects occur is unknown.

Serious side effects:
Lung infections
Decreased adrenal gland function
Serious breathing problems immediately after taking a dose
Weakened immune system
Thinning of the bones (osteoporosis)

Other drugs and fluticasone propionate/salmeterol xenafuate:
Tell your doctor about all the drugs you are taking.
Fluticazone propionate/salmeterol xenafuate fumarate interacts with the following drugs:
Beta-blockers such as metoprolol used to treat high blood pressure.
Certain antifungals such as ketoconazole and itraconazole.
Certain antibiotics such as clarithromycin.
Certain antiviral drugs used for HIV such as ritonavir.
Drugs used to treat depression, mental disorders, or Parkinson's disease.
Drugs used to treat heart failure such as digoxin.
Other corticosteroids.
Certain other drugs used to treat asthma. How to take fluticasone propionate/salmeterol ixenafoate:

Do not use in children under 4 years of age.

Use this medication as directed by your doctor.

Use this medication by inhalation only.

The usual recommended dose is one inhalation twice a day, morning and evening.

How to store fluticasone propionate/salmeterol ixenafoate:
Store at room temperature between 68 and 77 degrees Fahrenheit (20 and 25 degrees Celsius).

Keep this medication out of the reach of children.

Do not use this medication after the expiry date printed on the carton.
